Euthanasia

Our compassionate euthanasia procedure ensures your pet's comfort and dignity.

We’re there for you at every stage of your pet’s life, and that includes the final one, death. Our team can provide respectful guidance on your pet’s medical condition to help you make the best possible decision.

Where does euthanasia take place?

You can have your pet euthanized in a special room at the veterinary clinic set up for that purpose.

We’re surrounded by nature, so we also have a private, comfortable space set up outside where you can say your goodbyes. Please feel free to discuss this with us.

What happens when a pet is euthanized?

In veterinary medicine, euthanasia is the injection of a drug that puts the animal into a deep sleep before stopping their heart. It’s done peacefully and compassionately. The animal feels no pain.

Do I have to be there when my pet is put down?

Although your pet will find your presence comforting, we know it can be upsetting for you. If you decide not to be there, we’ll give you a moment alone with your pet to say goodbye. A staff member will stay with them until the very end.

How can I can honour my pet after they’re gone?

There are many options available, such as commemorative jewelry, a paw mold or a personalized urn.
